Hi guys, I got request from one follower of twitter .
so, today's theme is How to say colors in Japanese??
I teach you basic color's name in Japanese.
black :黒(kuro)
red:赤(aka)
yellow:黄(ki)
green:緑(midori)
white:白(shiro)
brown:茶(cha)
blue:青(ao)
gray:灰(hai)
purple:紫(murasaki)
these are color's name as noun .
When you want to use as a adjective, please add the character"い(i)"
like ,
黒い(kuroi),赤い(akai),
but when you want use 黄(ki):yellow as a adjective, you need to add "色い(iroi)"
like this ,
黄色い(kiiroi)
茶(cha) has same rule.
And ,
gray:灰(hai)
purple:紫(murasaki)

in these word in Japanese , there are no fixed adjective expression.
so, if you wanna use as adjective by force, I recommend you to say
○○色っぽい(~ppoi)
for example ,
灰色っぽい(haiiroppoi)
紫色っぽい(murasakiiroppoi)
緑色っぽい(midoriiroppoi)
っぽい(~ppoi)means "just like ~"
you can apply other way too.
eg:You are like a dog.lol
きみはイヌっぽいね。
(kimi wa inu ppoi ne)
but remember , don't use just "色っぽい(iroppoi)"........it means sexy in Japanese.
