I explained about Japanese words included emotion at before lecture on this blog.
Today's lesson is about Japanese expression included emotion too.
I got a question from one of my followers on twitter. Thanks for it^^
It is ......
"what is the different between these? 待ちきれません(machikire masen), 待つ事が出来ない(matsu koto ga dekinai) ?"
Both meaning is
"I can't wait for ~"
But not just it.
Both have several nuance each other.
・待ちきれません(machi kire masen)..... The Japanese phrase included emotion of "look forward to~ " When people have the plan of such a idol's concert , popular baseball game , big comedian's event ....etc..... they use "待ちきれません(machi kire masen) or 待ちきれない(machi kire nai)"
Example : 来週の土曜日に嵐のコンサートがあるの!待ちきれない!!
(raishuu no doyoubi ni Arashi no concert ga aruno! machi kire nai!!)
There is Arashi(* Japanese idol group Arashi)'s concert on next Saturday! I can't wait for it!!
・待つことができない(matsu koto ga dekinai)....Means "JUST" can't wait for something. It means just about ability of "can't wait for ~ "
Example : 私が飼っている犬はあまり賢くないからその犬は私を待つことができない。
(watashi ga katteiru inu wa amari kashikoku nai kara sono inu wa watashi wo matsu koto ga dekiai)
The dog which I having is not smart so it can't wait for me.
Extra point!
"待つことができない(matsu koto ga dekinai)" can use like as "待ちきれない(machi kire nai)" too . but , not recommend it. Because , The meaning which I explained today for each 2 phrase , I choose appropriate meaning . So, I want you to learn delicate expression and want you to learn exactly .
